ABOUT ME / What is "Beer By The Numbers"?

I have been collecting Beer Cans, and Beer related items ( known as Breweriana in the collectors realm ) for over 35 years. As a youngster I was caught up in the Beer can collecting rage in the early to mid seventies. However as most collectors fell by the way side, I never wained from my passion of collecting. Despite family breakups, and relocations, my beer cans were always one of the first things to be unpacked and proudly displayed in my new location. As I grew, so steadily did the can collection. With my first jobs came the added benefit of personal income. My interests began to expand. 100's of cans became thousands , and thousands became tens of thousands. Eventually space caught up with me, and what I should have seen coming for many years was now staring me straight in the face. So, now what do I do? Like so many others who faced the same dilemma, a choice needed to be made.
It was obvious that I needed to narrow my collecting interests to something more manageable, something I could showcase rather, than just overwhelm people with. So, on a December day some 11 years ago now my decision was made, and thus Beer By the Numbers was born.

What is Beer By The Numbers, you might ask.....
Beer By the Numbers is my specialized collection that includes all Beer cans that either have a Number for a name, or a Number in their name.

Goldcrest 51 ie. Number in the name, and 7/11 ie. Number is the name. I also actively pursue Breweriana that echo's the same theme.
